Susanna Reid addresses lockdown weight gain as pre-covid footage emerges on GMB


Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid, 50, commented on a video of herself at the awards show almost two years ago, where she collected three awards. This year, the host is up for Best Presenter and Celebrity Personality of the Year once again. Discussing her nominations on the show today, she pointed out that the video was “pre-lockdown”.

At the time, she stunned in a silver dress which clung to her sensational physique after losing a stone and a half.

Looking back at footage today, she said on Good Morning Britain: “This is the old hair.

“And I would like to point out that was pre-lockdown weight.”

At the event that year, she scooped the awards for Best TV Presenter and Celebrity Personality of the Year.

In 2019, the mother-of-three was advised to lose weight after going to the doctors for a skin problem.

She said at the time: “It turned out I was at the upper end of my BMI and, I have to admit, I’d been feeling a little heavy for a while.”

After losing 21 pounds by cutting out booze and eating healthier, she added she was now “feeling fantastic”.

Despite her latest weight worries, Susanna was inundated with compliments from her fans this week as she posed in an orange dress.
