The Queen and Prince Charles have been told that it would be “b****y stupid” for them to order a change to tradition that would stop Archie “automatically” becoming a prince. The claim that the Royal Family were attempting to do this came during Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s enlightening interview with Oprah Winfrey. ITV Royal Rota podcast host Chris Ship explained the rules regarding titles and went on to issue a warning.
Mr Ship told listeners: “As the rule stands currently, anyone who is a grandchild of the monarch, therefore Archie and his sister when Charles becomes king, will automatically become princes and princesses.
“It hasn’t been changed and we haven’t been told of a change.
“If they were thinking of changing it, they’d be b****y stupid to do it now.
“It certainly wouldn’t look good given everything that’s been said in the interview about it.”

Meghan had raised concerns about not having the security that would have come with a title.
She told Oprah: “They didn’t want him to be a prince or a princess, which would be different from protocol.
“It was really hard.…This went on for the last few months of our pregnancy.
“I was going, ‘Hold on a second. How does that work? If he’s not gonna be a prince, he needs to be safe.'”
However, the Queen stepped in to make sure that Charlotte and Louis were dubbed princess and prince respectively.
This did not appear to happen with Archie.
Buckingham Palace issued a statement after the broadcast of the interview, writing: “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.
“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. Whilst some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.
“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much-loved family members.”
