Prince Harry feels ‘liberated’ in US with Meghan but finds family situation ‘regrettable’

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex relocated to the US a year ago with their baby son Archie. According to the insider, Harry had “no regrets” about his new life in California with Meghan Markle.

The source told US Weekly: “Harry does not have any regrets.

“He feels liberated and excited about starting this new chapter.”

The insider added that the Duke believes moving to America “is the best decision he’s ever made”.

According to the source, Harry hopes his relationship with his family in the UK will heal in the future.

The source said: “Harry finds the situation with his family regrettable.

“But he says [they have] no regrets about moving… and that things are just getting started for them.”

Harry and Meghan stepped back from their royal duties in March last year.

Tensions between the Sussexes and the Royal Family appeared to have heightened last month due to Harry and Meghan’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The Duke of Sussex is rumoured to be returning to the UK in the summer to unveil a statue of his late mother alongside William.

The statue of the late Princess of Wales commissioned by Harry and William is expected to be installed to mark what would have been her 60th birthday.

Speaking in a video for the Telegraph, royal expert Camilla Tominey explained that the brothers will have to put on a “united front” after Meghan and Harry’s tell-all Oprah interview.
