Piers Morgan puts aside breakfast show rivalry to send BBC's Sally Nugent touching message

It wasn’t long before fans began rushing to the comments section to toast her honour, with a surprising message from the Good Morning Britain host.

Piers has been an avid supporter of Rashford’s campaign, using his platform to slam Health Secretary Matt Hancock on multiple occasions for not protecting the UK’s poorest and most vulnerable children.

As the footballer was pictured working at food shelters while he wasn’t training, Piers was in the background cheering him on for every move he made.

So, it was only natural he congratulate the journalist behind the moving interview, where he delved into his own first hand experiences of growing up in poverty and the reason behind his motivation to roll out the scheme.
