Terrifying pictures have emerged of a fire raging in the northbound direction of the tunnel.
Shocking images appear to show a car up in flames.
Crews from the London Fire Brigade have been deployed to the scene.
In a post on Twitter, one user wrote: “Blazing fire in #blackwall tunnel #northbound.
“Avoid tunnel if you can.”
A second added: “Avoid Blackwall tunnel north bound!”
