Prince William and Harry were seen chatting to each other after the funeral service for their grandfather Prince Philip. They were also joined by Kate Middleton on the walk away from St George’s Chapel where the service was held. The Duchess of Cambridge appeared to play peacemaker for the two brothers.
It was unclear ahead of the funeral whether the two would talk, given recent strained relations.
This was further cast in doubt when it was revealed the pair would not be walking side by side in the funeral procession.
However, the two appeared to be in good spirits talking to each other following the service.
It appears that Kate started the chat with Harry before bringing William into the conversation.
Footage showed the brothers walked together, with Kate on Harry’s right, before the pair split off from the Duchess.
The brothers walked together for several minutes, moments after watching their grandfather’s coffin lowered into the vault at St George’s Chapel.
The emotional service saw the Royal Family say last goodbyes to Prince Philip with a poignant and moving funeral organised with the help of the Duke of Edinburgh himself.
The Queen led the nation in mourning for Prince Philip as the Duke of Edinburgh was laid to rest.
The procession started at 2.41pm, with Prince Philip’s coffin arriving at St George’s Chapel seven minutes before the funeral at 3pm.
Then, the nation fell silent for a minute before the beginning of the service.
