Former Queen band member Brian May, 73, “really hates” ITV show The Voice because it doesn’t represent the “full package” a musician needs to become a brand. The guitarist explained that first impressions are key in the industry, and it’s not just about the sound of the voice.
During a recent interview, he said: “We make music and it is all about music but the packaging is vital as it is the first thing people see.
“It is like an album cover, the picture on the album cover.”
Brain added: “That is the whole definition of people’s first impressions.”
He used the example of his new fragrance Save Me, part of a campaign to help protect endangered wildlife, as he noted the product itself is just as important.
